Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the single TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domains remained running.

Through our firm, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular regulations on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
