Guaranteed RAM
Discover the difference between standard and guaranteed RAM in the hosting community.
RAM is an abbreviation for Random Access Memory. This is a type of computer memory, that, different from other storage devices including hard disk drives or DVDs, enables the information to be accessed directly without reading the previous content located inside it. Anytime an application is launched, it's stored inside the RAM, since it can be accessed much more quickly than if it was read from another media device. With regard to the web hosting service itself, additional RAM means that more web apps can run at the same time on a given hosting server, especially when they are resource-demanding and are accessed by a large amount of people at the same time. In contrast to a shared web hosting solution where the resources of a given account could be flexible and quite often depend on what other users consume as well, a VPS features a guaranteed amount of RAM that can be used all the time. That memory is assigned to one web server only and will not be used by other customers even in case it is not being used.
Guaranteed RAM in VPS Hosting
The physical memory which you will get with every virtual private server that we offer is guaranteed and shall be available always even if you do not use all of it for a long length of time. Every VPS account gives you set system resources and runs in an isolated container separately from other accounts on the physical hosting server, so even if some account starts running out of memory, we will never allocate some of your memory to that account. Additionally we never distribute the entire physical memory on the hardware node among the virtual accounts set up on it, to guarantee that it will not run out of memory. This way, there shall always be free RAM if you choose to upgrade your package and we guarantee the flawless overall performance of the physical machine.
